Prayers for use by the very young or those without words.

One of my children had no language for a very long time and still speaks or signs rarely. He liked to hold the prayer beads whilst the other children were using them and would be quiet for a time. He likes sorting things, so gradually we worked out this way of praying based on the prayer bead system. I’ve found that it can be used with very young children too. You may find that you only want to concentrate on one section at a time, rather than try to do the whole circle of prayer each time. Then you might go:

1, 2, 3, 4, 13, 14
or 1, 2, 3, 5, 13, 14 etc.

1. Draw the sign of the cross on the floor in front of you ✝️ (if you can do this in a tray of sand, all the better).

2. Listen to the Lord’s Prayer:

3. Remember that you are loved by God, wrap arms around self. 🤗
